Arizona SB1801 amends definitions and provisions for event wagering, including deductions for free bets and rules for using league data.

Arizona SB1801 amends sections 5-1301 and 5-1314 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to redefine terms and update provisions for event wagering. It specifies deductions for free bets allowed for event wagering operators during the first five years of operations. The bill also allows event wagering operators to use official, nonofficial, or alternative league data for tier two sports wagers, provided the data is not bundled and is sold separately. The Arizona Department of Gaming is tasked with adopting rules for the manner of accepting wagers and reporting suspicious wagers.
