Arizona SB1400 allows agencies to create peer support counseling programs for public safety employees who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events. These programs include peer support specialists who provide counseling and emotional support. Peer support communications are confidential and privileged, except in cases of suicide threats, imminent harm, child or vulnerable adult abuse, criminal conduct admissions, or legal disclosure requirements.
