Arizona SB1389 amends section 45-412 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to allow the director to designate subsequent active management areas. This designation applies to areas not included within an initial active management area if the director determines that active management practices are necessary to preserve groundwater supply, land subsidence or fissuring is endangering property or groundwater storage capacity, or groundwater use is causing water quality degradation.
