SB1376

Special plate; civic leadership development

Introduced·1/26/26

Arizona SB1376 creates special civic leadership development plates for vehicles, with fees supporting leadership and civic education programs.

Arizona SB1376 establishes a special plate for vehicles to support civic leadership development. Owners or lessees of vehicles can apply for these plates by paying a fee, part of which goes towards an annual donation. The first $32,000 collected is reimbursed to the applicant who designed the plates. The remaining funds create the Civic Leadership Development Special Plate Fund, administered by the Department of Transportation. This fund supports leadership and civic education programs for high school and college students, provided by qualified 501(c)(3) entities founded after 2015.
