Introduced Text

Arizona SB1360 amends the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Accounts to detail student eligibility, fund usage, and account renewal processes.

Arizona SB1360 modifies the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Accounts to specify that students must use account funds for education in reading, grammar, mathematics, social studies, and science. Parents must sign an agreement to ensure students do not enroll in their prior school or accept scholarships from other organizations. Funds can be used for tuition, textbooks, and certain educational services. If parents do not renew the account within 60 days, the account is closed, and remaining funds are returned to the state.
