Arizona SB1316 establishes the Arizona rural health transformation fund, which consists of monies received through the rural health transformation program. The Arizona health care cost containment system administers the fund, with continuous appropriation of its monies. Before spending any funds, the system must hold three public meetings in the largest metropolitan areas of northern, central, and southern Arizona to gather input on how the funds should be spent. Following these meetings, the system must submit an expenditure plan to the joint legislative budget committee for approval.
