Arizona SB1301 mandates relocation notices for employers and prohibits state contractors from hiring outside the state.

Arizona SB1301 requires employers with 50 or more employees, or those receiving state subsidies, to notify the state 120 days before relocating. State contractors must hire employees within Arizona. Employers relocating without notice face penalties up to $10,000 per day. The Arizona Commerce Authority can waive penalties if relocation would cause substantial job losses, environmental harm, or significant economic impact. The act takes effect October 31, 2026.
