SB1162

Health care institutions; licensing; compliance

Complete·6/19/26

Arizona SB1162 amends health care institution licensing to ensure compliance with licensing standards.

Arizona SB1162 amends the licensing and monitoring of health care institutions to ensure compliance with licensing standards. The Arizona health care cost containment system must not duplicate the monitoring and compliance functions of the department and must accept the department's decisions on compliance. The department may conduct an off-site preliminary review of complaints or self-reports to determine if an on-site inspection is necessary. If the review confirms compliance, the complaint is closed.
