SB1104

Justice courts; actions against veterinarians

Introduced·1/15/26
Introduced Text

Arizona SB1104 allows for specific evidence in civil actions against veterinarians for animal injuries or deaths.

Arizona SB1104 amends state statutes to allow certain records and reports from investigations by the Arizona state veterinary medical examining board to be admitted as evidence in civil actions against veterinarians for animal injuries or deaths. This includes findings or orders adopted by the Arizona state veterinarian. The bill also allows these items to be used in lieu of an expert witness affidavit. If a veterinarian requests a transfer of the small claims action to the justice court, the evidence is transferred and admitted into evidence there.
