Arizona HCR2040 proposes a minimum wage increase to be decided by voters.

Arizona HCR2040 proposes a measure to amend the minimum wage, increasing it incrementally from $10 per hour in 2017 to $12 per hour in 2020. The wage for tipped employees can be reduced by up to $3.00 per hour if the employer can demonstrate that tips, when added to wages, meet or exceed the minimum wage. Homeless or at-risk individuals can opt out of the minimum wage requirement. The Secretary of State will submit this proposition to voters at the next general election.
