It mandates that referral agencies disclose to prospective residents the existence of any business relationships or common ownership with the assisted living facilities they refer to. The referral agency must also inform the resident about the fee they will receive from the assisted living facility, which cannot exceed 50% of the resident's first month's rent. If the resident stays less than 30 days, the fee cannot exceed 25% of the first month's rent.
