It prohibits the preparation, issuance, request, or requirement of certificates that contain false or misleading information, alter policy coverage, or falsely claim compliance with contract requirements. The director of the Arizona Department of Insurance is authorized to investigate violations, issue cease and desist orders, and assess civil penalties up to $1,000 per violation.
