Arizona HB2937 requires nuclear power plant owners or operators to ensure that contractors and subcontractors use a skilled and trained workforce for specified work. The workforce must include registered apprentices and skilled journeymen, with increasing percentages of skilled journeymen over time. Contractors and subcontractors must pay skilled journeymen the prevailing wage, at least the minimum wage. The Industrial Commission of Arizona will adopt rules to verify skilled journeymen and establish procedures for reporting workplace violations.
