Arizona HB2899 requires health insurance policies to cover prosthetic devices starting January 1, 2027.

Arizona HB2899 amends the Arizona Revised Statutes to mandate coverage of prosthetic devices by health insurers, including group or blanket disability insurers, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, disability insurers, and health care services organizations. Effective January 1, 2027, these insurers must cover prosthetic devices that meet the medical needs of insured individuals, as well as additional devices necessary for physical and recreational activities such as running, bicycling, swimming, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and team or individual sports.
