Arizona HB2677 permits middle school students in grades six, seven, or eight to take career and technical education courses. These courses can be offered by schools in partnership with career and technical education districts or community colleges. Credits earned in these courses count towards both middle school promotion and high school graduation. Schools must report annually on the number of courses offered and students completing them. The Department of Education compiles these reports and submits a summary to state leaders by December 31, 2028.
