Arizona HB2632 amends state law to require agencies to submit proposed rules that are estimated to increase regulatory costs by more than $100,000 within five years to the Office of Economic Opportunity for review. If the Office confirms that the proposed rule will cost more than $500,000 within five years, the rule cannot become effective until the legislature enacts legislation ratifying the rule. The Office must complete its assessment and notify the Administrative Rules Oversight Committee, the public, and the legislature of its findings within six months.
