Arizona HB2553 authorizes the state to participate in a federal tax credit for contributions to scholarship granting organizations.

Arizona HB2553 amends the Arizona Revised Statutes to allow the state to participate in a federal tax credit for individual contributions to scholarship granting organizations. The bill requires the Arizona Department of Revenue to certify nonprofit organizations as scholarship granting organizations and submit a list of these organizations to the United States Secretary of the Treasury annually. Certified organizations can provide scholarships for qualified elementary or secondary education expenses starting from December 31, 2026.
