Arizona HB2548 mandates water-efficient plumbing fixtures in new and existing commercial, industrial, and public buildings starting January 1, 2028.

Arizona HB2548 amends water conservation plumbing requirements, prohibiting the distribution, sale, offer for sale, import, or installation of non-water-efficient plumbing fixtures in new and existing commercial, industrial, and public buildings starting January 1, 2028. These fixtures must be WaterSense-labeled or meet or exceed established water efficiency criteria. The bill also mandates efforts to install water-free urinals in new and existing state buildings. Exceptions apply to fixtures already located in the state before January 1, 2028.
