Introduced·6/27/25
Introduced Text

Arizona HB2524 corrects a technical error in the disbursement process of federal funds to school districts.

Arizona HB2524 amends section 15-209 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to correct a technical error in the disbursement process of federal funds to school districts. The bill specifies that if federal funds are apportioned to a school district, the state board of education must direct the department of administration to draw a warrant for the amount apportioned. The state treasurer will then pay the warrant upon presentation. The school district must deposit the funds with the county treasurer, who will place them in the appropriate fund.
