Arizona HB2511 amends ballot collection laws, prohibiting certain actions and making them class 5 felonies.

Arizona HB2511 amends sections 16-513, 16-547, and 16-1005 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to address ballot collection. It makes it unlawful to offer or provide consideration to acquire a voted or unvoted early ballot, receive or agree to receive any consideration in exchange for a ballot, possess a ballot with intent to sell, and knowingly solicit the collection of ballots by misrepresenting oneself as an election official. These violations are classified as class 5 felonies.
