Arizona HB2502 modifies the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) to allow retired members, including elected officials, to return to work while continuing to receive retirement benefits. This applies if the retired member has reached their normal retirement age, terminated employment for at least 365 consecutive days before returning to work, and if they return to work in a position not filled by an active employee. Employers must pay an alternate contribution rate for these members.
