HB2493 amends Arizona law by adding section 15-2407 to title 15, chapter 19, article 1 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. This new section mandates that providers accepting payments from Arizona empowerment scholarship accounts must undergo financial, program, and compliance audits. The Department of Education or the Office of the Auditor General can conduct these audits. Providers must also report periodically on student enrollment and attendance.
