Arizona HB2468 authorizes the legislative council to place a Rotary International peace pole monument in the governmental mall to promote peace worldwide. The procedures for monument establishment are outlined in Arizona Revised Statutes. Public funds are not used for the monument's costs; all fundraising and contracts for design and construction are the responsibility of the proponents. The state cannot facilitate fundraising or establish a state fund for the monument's deposit. The authorization for the monument is repealed after September 30, 2029.
