Arizona HB2461 establishes a family and medical leave insurance program for eligible employees.

Arizona HB2461 introduces a family and medical leave insurance program, effective January 1, 2028. Eligible employees can receive benefits for up to 26 weeks for certain family and medical reasons. Employers must provide written notice of employee rights and are prohibited from retaliating against employees for exercising their rights. The Industrial Commission of Arizona administers the program, establishes procedures for claims, and conducts public education campaigns. Employers and employees contribute equally to the program's funding.
