HB2294

Arizona HB2294 allows occupational regulating authorities to grant licenses through apprenticeship programs.

Arizona HB2294 amends the state's statutes to allow occupational regulating authorities to establish criteria for granting licenses, certificates, or registrations through apprenticeship programs. The bill requires applicants to complete a U.S. Department of Labor-approved or Arizona Department of Economic Security-approved apprenticeship program. If an examination is required for licensure, the passing score must not discriminate between apprenticeship program applicants and those from vocational or trade schools.
