Arizona HB2172 amends title 33, chapter 16, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 33-1801.01. This new section establishes that each declaration for a planned community expires and becomes unenforceable, and the associated homeowner's association dissolves on the later of January 1, 2127, or one hundred years after the original declaration was recorded. The dissolution of the association requires it to wind up and liquidate its business and affairs. After expiration and dissolution, property owners may voluntarily reestablish a planned community as otherwise provided by law.
