Arizona HB2062 authorizes the placement of a memorial dedicated to the Buffalo Soldiers in Wesley Bolin Plaza. The procedures for establishing the memorial are outlined in section 41-1363 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. Public funds are not authorized for the costs of the memorial; all fundraising and contracts for artistic design and construction are the sole responsibility of the proponents. The state cannot facilitate fundraising or establish a state fund for the deposit of the monies. The section authorizing this placement is repealed after September 30, 2027.
