Alaska HB70 allows emergency medical technicians and paramedics to provide emergency services to operational canines when a veterinarian is.

Alaska HB70 amends state law to allow emergency medical technicians and mobile intensive care paramedics to provide emergency medical services to operational canines when a veterinarian is unavailable. These technicians and paramedics must follow a written protocol developed and approved by a veterinarian. They must also transfer the canine to a licensed veterinarian as soon as possible and comply with laws governing the administration of drugs or paramedics.
