Changes the commencement date for terms of the Board of Pardons and Paroles from July 1 to March 1.

This bill amends the Code of Alabama to change the date on which members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles begin their six-year terms. Currently, members start their terms on July 1. The bill would change this start date to March 1, effective October 1, 2026. Members of the board must reflect the state's racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity. The Governor appoints members with the advice and consent of the Senate.
