He also founded the Birmingham Recovery Center and Longleaf Wellness and Recovery Centers, providing treatment for substance use and mental health disorders. Harris is an avid conservationist, founding Alabama Black Belt Adventures and serving on several conservation boards. He was inducted into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame in 2024.
