Alabama HB66 requires the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) to establish a method for individuals to voluntarily designate on their driver licenses or nondriver identification cards that they have been diagnosed with certain medical conditions. These conditions include communication impediments, hearing loss, blindness, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, schizophrenia, and cognitive disabilities. ALEA will create a discrete symbol depicting the state flower to place on the license or card of the individual requesting the designation.
