Alabama HB659, known as the Bill of Rights in the Classroom Act, requires the State Department of Education to publish a standardized version of the Bill of Rights for local boards of education. This standardized version must be displayed in all public school classrooms and on the websites of local boards of education starting from the 2027-2028 school year. The standardized text, consisting solely of the official language of the Bill of Rights, will be available at no cost to local boards of education.
