Allows active judges, clerks, and district attorneys to buy back service from retirement plans.
This bill amends the District Attorneys' Plan and the Judges' and Clerks' Plan to allow active and contributing members to purchase withdrawn service. This mirrors the process available to members of the Employees' Retirement System and the Teachers' Retirement System. Members must notify the Board of Control of their election to transfer membership service and accumulated contributions. The pension will be determined based on the member's employment classification at the time of withdrawal from service.
