Expands approved forms of single-dose epinephrine for use in Alabama public schools and authorized entities.

This bill expands the approved forms of single-dose epinephrine that can be carried and self-administered by students, and stocked and administered by schools, authorized entities, and certain staff members. It allows any Food and Drug Administration approved form of single-dose premeasured epinephrine to be used to prevent or treat life-threatening allergic reactions. The bill also mandates anaphylaxis preparedness programs in public schools, including training for staff and students on recognizing and responding to severe allergic reactions.
