Establishes process for appointing Alabama's delegation to an Article V Convention.
This bill establishes a process for appointing commissioners and alternate commissioners to represent Alabama at an Article V Convention. The Legislature will appoint three commissioners and three alternate commissioners by joint resolution. Commissioners must be U.S. citizens and Alabama residents for at least five years, registered voters, and not federal lobbyists or employees. They must also not hold statewide office or federal elected or appointed office. The Legislature may recall and replace commissioners.
