HB433

Campaign finance statements; redaction required of residential addresses of candidates and officials

Chamber Passed·3/17/26

Alabama HB433 mandates redaction of residential addresses in campaign finance filings.

Alabama HB433 amends the Fair Campaign Practices Act to require the Secretary of State to redact residential addresses from all campaign finance filings before publication on a searchable database. This bill also includes nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style. The redaction applies to all statements, reports, and other filings required to be filed with the Secretary of State.
