The exemption applies to county commissions, municipal governing bodies, and utility boards. The exemption requires the awarding authority to solicit and document price estimates from at least two different vendors before awarding the contract. The exemption applies to each vehicle repaired and does not aggregate with other expenditures under $15,000. The act becomes effective on October 1, 2026.
