When a tornado is coming, a flood is rising, or a storm is bearing down on the coast, the National Weather Service is how you find out. NOAA's forecasters, weather balloons, satellites, and ocean monitoring are what make those warnings possible. Without enough staff, satellites, and monitoring, warnings come late or not at all. Families lose the time they need to get out. Farmers, fishing crews, and small towns lose the information they plan their lives around. Accurate forecasts are not a luxury. They are what our tax dollars are supposed to buy, and every community in this country is owed them. Cutting the agency that warns us puts lives at risk to save money. Reverse the cuts to NOAA and the National Weather Service, and fund their staffing, satellites, and monitoring in full.
