Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse, and the public, have waited for a full accounting. Instead they have been handed partial releases and official conclusions that closed the door on further answers. When a case involves powerful people, secrecy is the first tool of protection. The public cannot judge whether justice was done when the government decides alone what it will show. No president, attorney general, or White House staffer should be able to shape what the country is allowed to know about a sex trafficking network. Congress has the power to compel disclosure. It can require the Justice Department to publish the complete files, protect the identities of survivors, and answer to the public if it withholds anything. Pass a law requiring the full release of the Epstein files, with survivors' identities protected.
