One person's checkbook should not decide who runs this country. Right now a single billionaire can pour enormous sums into super PACs, build a field operation across battleground states, and act like a shadow party while the rest of us show up with yard signs. That is not participation in democracy. It is the purchase of it. Voters in every state deserve elections that reflect what they want, not what one wealthy donor can afford. The loopholes that let a handful of mega-donors dominate races are written into the system, and Congress can close them. Limits on what any one person can give to super PACs would put power back where it belongs. Your vote should count for more than someone else's bank account. Pass campaign finance reform that sets real limits on super PAC contributions and closes the loopholes that let one individual buy an election.
