Mifepristone is a medication the FDA has already approved. Now the agency is mining its own databases to hunt for 'unknown safety concerns,' a search that starts with a conclusion and looks for evidence to fit it. Health officials are reopening a settled question, and patients are the ones who pay. People who rely on this medication, and the clinicians who prescribe it, could lose access not because of new science but because of politics. Medical decisions belong to patients and their doctors. Drug safety reviews must be open, transparent, and driven by evidence, not by an agenda. A review that does not show its work cannot be trusted. When politics reaches into the medicine cabinet, everyone's care is at risk. Protect access to mifepristone and oppose any political effort to restrict it.
